Season 2026

RALLY CAP! Baseball Canada’s Rally Cap program will replace our traditional T-Ball and 3-Pitch programs for boys and girls ages 4-7.  The Rally Cap Program is an initiative to enhance players' and coaches' first experience with the game of baseball.  The program helps teach players the five FUNdamentals of baseball (Fundamental movement skills, throwing, receiving, hitting, base running) in a fun and safe environment. Players have the opportunity to learn, acquire and perform different baseball skills in order to progress through the different levels of the program. We have a Rally Cap Program in both the Westside of Saint John and in Grand Bay/Westfield

Recreational programs for 9U, 11U, 13U and 15U are expected to begin the week of June 5 and run until late August/early September. Rally Cap programs will start mid June and run to late August.

Developmental Programs:

We offer a 9U Developmental Boys team that competes in the 11U Recreational league. This team also has exhibition tournaments and games province wide.

For the first time we are offering a 10U Developmental Girls team. This team will compete in the 9U Recreational league. This team also has exhibtion tournaments and games within the province.

Competitive teams (11U Major/Minor to 18U Port City Pirates A/AA/AAA teams) will hold tryouts in early May with a season commencing the middle of May and ending in early September.

*Note If your player is trying out for a competitive team DO NOT register for a Recreational Division. Please select the Try Out Registration Package only and based on the outcome of tryouts, they will either register for Rec or Comp*

To register:

1. If you do not already have an account from last season, create an account (as a Parent/Guardian)
2. Once logged in, you can proceed to use one or more of the Registration processes (Player or Coach/Staff). You can also use the side menu to add your family members ahead of time to allow you to select them during any of the registrations.
3. Once your player has been added, in the registration area a participant can be registered in the selected division/program.  A complete list of program details can be found here.
4. At the end of the registration, please choose the appropriate payment method, and complete your payment.
5. You will receive an email confirmation upon successful registration. 

The deadline to register for competitive tryouts is May 1, 2026 and for all recreational programs May 31, 2026.

Competitive Tryouts (Port City Pirates)

All players must be pre-registered and pay the $40 fee before tryouts.  Players successfully being placed on a competitive team roster will be charged the applicable registration fee which is due May 24, 2025. Players only wishing to be considered for a A/AA team are requested to advise the evaluators at the first tryout.

We accept VISA, VISA Debit, Mastercard, Mastercard Debit and American Express (a 2% administration fee will be added to all online payments).  E-transfers can be made to:  payments@portcitypirates.ca  no security question required, please include the player’s name and program in the notes section of the e-transfer.
